damm im sorrie im posting hekka threads today cause i havnt in such a long time i have lots of questions and another one is shitt i gotta smog car soon.. im runnin a greddy turbo ... im hearing with bov it wont pass? i have a back up plan to pay 250 to get it smogged with certificate but im just wondeirng if theres any chance in hell i can pass smog with greddy turbo , with vafc2 and my engine checklight is up still? what should i do?

 

I don't now where you're from but up here in WA., a check engine light is an automatic fail.

 

no you cant pass bro in Cali ,

 

1) pull the code that is stored in the computer
2) route the BOV to release into the exhaust or something

 

The VAFC will not pass for sure. You have to be running the blue box that came with the turbo kit.

Maybe you can fabricate a cover for the BOV flange so you can remove it temporarily for the test. I was planning on doing something like that with a piece of sheet metal.

yahs i know ... im a dumbass.. i fergot about that but anyways.. im not even goign to smog it.. i got someone thatll giev em vertificate and everything fer 250.. so why do da hastle wen i can just pay it off ... for nott oo much... its what i get for fixing up my car and go f/i hahaha

this might be a ridiculous question, but what happens if you fail smog? Are you not allowed to drive the car or can you buy a special smog permit or how does that work?

You cannot get the car registered at the DMV without a valid smog certificate.
