OK I'm Confused...

I have 96 LS with the b18b1 right...but my friend has a 94 4dr LS but it has a b18b that he says was never swapped and its completely stock. But in this book i read it says they started putting in b18b's into the base line integra's in 1997. Is this true? Did the older model b18b's have a different looking valve cover? Tell me im right and they put in b18b's in 94

All 3rd gen LS, GS, RS, and SE models came with the B18B1. That goes from 94-01. So yes, you are right.

Like Shmoo mentioned, all DC4s and all DB7s came with the B18B.
•1994-2001 RS, LS, GS:
B18B1 I-4 16V DOHC Non-VTEC
1834 cc
9.2:1 CR
HP: 142hp@6300RPM
TQ: 127lb-ft@5200RPM
Redline: 6800 RPM

If memory serves, they did make a minor change to the lettering on the valve cover. It was a pedantic little change in lettering, I think.

But as far as output is concerned...all B18B's were rated as listed above.
