Clutch break in.....
Sup guys, need some opinions. I have an 98 spec r and i put a new cluth in tuesday and I have 300 miles on it now, its a clutchnet stage 3 6-puck sprung HD pressure plate. I want to go to the track tonight and run with my slicks, my friend says that with this clutch i will be fine and it has mre than ennuff break in time on it to go to track and race, what u think?? all help greatly appreciated. thanks

Depends on the clutch. Most clutches require 500 city miles to break in. Some of the pucked race discs only need 200-300 city miles...depends on manufacturer though. I wouldn't push it until 500, especially on slicks. Better safe than sorry.

5oo miles is rule of thumb, however the first time installed a centerforce, my buddy (who knows his shit trust me) was like lets get on it man, come on it will be fine. At this point the clutch had about 100 miles on it, and I said if you **** up my clutch it's your ass. Well nothing happened or went wrong so I don't know...
