You will be looking at a 94 or 95 with a buttload of miles for that price range. I bought my 96 with 107k miles for 6,400. They are pretty pricey if you want one with a clean title and low mileage. Good luck and if all else fails, an LS isn't so bad if you can find it in better condition with lower mileage.

just as a guess, if you live near san diego area go here:

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/

if not, go and find the right spot. craigslist has tons of gsrs that goes for sale (in nor cal at least). but eventually i hit it lucky and got mine on yahoo autos. yea, the resale is really high on gsrs. get one that bone stock. luckily i found someone who sold me their 95 gsr great condition for everything except needed new tires for $6000 with 61k miles.

Ah, don't worry about it...
I'll let the thread live.
And welcome to HAN, BTW.

just look around. There are 94-95 gsr's with over 120k on them selling for $6800-8000. I got my 98 with 76k for only $7300....plus i only had to pay $60 when i had to pay tax on it
