Default Rough Ride

I have a 1995 GSR Hatchback with 120K miles that has a stock suspension.

Compared to my friend's 2000 Honda Prelude, my GSR's ride is much harsher. When I drive at freeway speeds (70mph) and hit little bumps, the it's much harsher than the Prelude, and the car also feels like it destabilizes every time I hit one of those little humps.

Does this sound normal? What can I do to improve the ride?

Things I've considered:
1) Shocks : I don't think the shocks aren't blown as the car doesn't go bounce up and down.
2) Bushings : Could torn bushings cause a harsher ride?
3) Springs : Springs don't wear out do they?

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

it might be the struts but it also could be that the car is getting older so the stock parts are getting older too
