LS/Vtec or GSR?
I have $3500 to spend. I want what everyone else wants, Fast and Reliable. So should I go ahead with the ls/vtec and spend another grand on pistons and rods? Or just go GSR and worry about parts later and not worry about breaking down and building the internals. And I want to hit 14's. I am in the middle of two deals, a ls/vtec and the GSR swap (Engine+Tranny+ECU). I've searched the site, but there are still people scared of the LS/Vtec and others loving, same goes with the GSR. Thanx.

if you want fast and reliable go with the gsr swap.
|
get the GSR if you just want a straight swap and not really have to worry about milling this decking that drilling this and so on. get the ls/vtec one if it isalready done and not so abused . i'd do the GSR swap just so i wouldn't have to worry so much

GSR swap is the way to go unless you know EXACTY what you are doing with the LS/vtec.
|
yes even though the ls/VTEC has greater POTENTIAL
the risks that come along are also greater like you said if u wan fast AND reliable go with the gsr swap |
whenever i think LS/Vtec...i think reliability issues....if i had a choice i would go with GSR
|
GSR it is. Thanx guys! Now..the real tough one...know anyone selling one? LoL
|
i agree with everyone above. with the gsr engine you can easily have a reliable 14 second car. i'm assuming you're planning on going all motor? and are you swapping it yourself or having a shop do it?

I am most likely go ALL motor, or just get a JacksonRacing Supercharger, heard good stuff about those. Yeah, some of my friends gonna help me out....save me on installation! Whaddya think about JRSC on a GSR?
