Default Recommended RPM's

I've got a 95 RS with 125,000 and I'm taking a six hour drive up to San Francisco in a couple weeks and I'd like to know what a safe upper RPM to maintain for long distance driving would be. Long distance being anything over an hour; safe = an RPM that won't cause undue stress or wear to my engine even on everyday drives. Thanks for you help!

well if its on the highway and you dont plan to speed. just cruise at 70mph in 5th gear which would be around 3500 rpms.

Default Ummm...lemme rephrase this...

Basically what I'm asking is how fast can I speed on the whole drive up to San Francisco... without having to worry about hurting my Teg.

I've driven my 95 GSR and 91 LS for a few hours at a time at 80-90mph with no problem. You aren't going to hurt your car unless you are going crazy fast or in too low of a gear.

On my way home from work, I set my cruise @ 90 in 5th gear. That keeps me with the flow of traffic. No problems here.
