and you don't have a check engine light? ................
some of the sensors will make the ecu run the fuel at a default setting which is at a much higher rpm.
Or you could have your throttle cable too tight, or it may be something I don't know about.
I am not all that familiar with that engine.

I think that some of us might be having a problem understanding what you're saying.

If you could tell us a little more in detail about your car and what's happening, that would be appreciated.

You're posting from close to Windsor, so one would normally surmise that English is your first language but, just in case it's not, go ahead and post in French and we will translate it.

let off the gas pedal? maybe thats what your gear ratios are and you wouldnt really be able to help that.

I guess your driving an ITR, If so there is nothing easy to change that, If you want lower Rpms at cruising speed your can change the 5th gear or swap the tranny for a lessor model. Now I would not reccommend that becuase Honda set the ITR up just right and you will loose a bunch of proformance.

After reading some of the other replies, I gather that I was being a bit dense and that you are complaining about the RPM your car turns at a given miles per hour.

Unfortunately, it's a part of the car's overall performance profile that high RPM is a part of how we get that power and performance. :) Most ITR drivers wouldn't really mind a car that was turning 3000 RPM at 65 miles per hour, although that doesn't sound quite right for the typical ITR motor.

You could think about putting a GS-R fifth gear in your ITR transmission, as some people have, but you are affecting the car's ability to perform at high speeds, because the performance relies on the car's ability to use the high RPM momentum to get onto the cam quickly.

You might just have the wrong car for what you want out of a car. :)

it's 91 with intake
This part of your post still puzzles me.

maybe he meant to put it in the civic forum or something :dunno:

I dunno. But I'm sure curious about it, now. :)
