Default car makes noise after converting to OBDI

i have a 1996 GSR and i converted to OBDI. now the car makes a weird hissing noise when its on. ive tried two different harnesses, and two different OBDI P72 ecus and the same noise is still there. does anyone know what it could be?
Thanks,
Jon

Well, let's start with the obvious: why did you convert to OBD-I? How did you do it?

That aside, an engine management conversion will not make odd noises in any case I can think of.

im going turbo and using hondata. hondata isnt compatible with obd2 so i had to convert.
sorry, what i meant by converting to obd1 was i just changed the ecu and used a conversion harness. the motor is still obd2 but my ecu is obd1.
thanks,
jon

Check all the vacuum fittings first [IM, Intake, PCV] - if you're still naturally aspirated.
If you are already boosted then check all the potential areas for intake or exhaust leaks.
