Default lowering my car...

Hey I was wondering if it was possible to lower my car by just getting new springs and without getting the shocks/camber package.

Also what brand springs do you recommend?

you can do it without the camber setup, but NOONE will recommend doing it without the struts.

Stock struts on lowering springs will last about a month, no lie.

As far as brands Eibach Pro-kit or H&R Sport would be my choice for springs and for shocks Koni Yellow would be my first choice but they are pricey if your on a budget get the KYB AGX's hope this helps.

les shwab lowered my car with shocks/springs but after about 3000 miles i had 1/3 of the tread gone on the insides of my front tires. i guess cambers werent included ^^ u should get new cambers.. theyll save ur tires and pay for themselves

yea the springs and shocks are pretty much what u need for the minimum, the stock shocks lasted me a long time with just springs, still havent worn out yet. but im changing them out with tokico shocks.

doing that stuff yourself is an annoying job for first timers, especially when your car bolts are rusted.

when i had 15 inch wheels on i had very bad negative camber, but when i got 17inch wheels i think my camber went positive.

hmm i would get a camber kit with that too..just what i would do.. like i said 3000 easy miles on my 18" wheels and 1/3 of the tread gone on insides of the front tires, the outsides of the front tires and the rear tires have almost no wear at all.... unless u want to swap tires a few times a year..

I would suggest you get struts all around. Best to do it correctly the first time. Get some Tokicos, Koni, or KYB's.

Eibachs, H&R, Teins to name a few.
