Default Getting new tires. Need advice

I just picked up a set of 1999 mesh style integra rims.

Now I need new tires. I don't need any high performance tires. Just looking into getting something cheap that gets me good mileage and something that will last a long time.

Does higher treadwear number mean that it will last longer?

What kind of weather conditions do you drive in? I really like Dunlop Sport 5000s for all season driving, and they have an acceptable treadwear (340). On the other hand, expect to pay around $110 a tire for them :happysad:

712s are a nice tire for the money though.

the Falken ZE512's would be another option for your preferences - and they are cheap.

Yokohama AVS sports are cheap and they perform very well, they get noisey when they are old tho, I am not sure how many miles you will get out of them as it depends on your driving style, but you should get 15-20,000 I think.

I got Bridgestone Potenza RE950's they have exelent treadwear, exelent dry and wet handling, and can take a little snow too! I love them, my freind has some on his jetta, and after about 7,000 miles still look brand new, mine have about 4,000 on them and still have some of the little rubber things that come on new tires left, and i drive them pretty hard.

Default hey tire seeker!

the best tires i ever owned i got from tirerack.com, they were firestone firehawk indy 500 they rocked. great preformace, and they're all season radial, wet traction like nothig else ive ever experienced, just freakin, awesome, stiff sidewalls for outstanding cornering and handling, it felt like a completely new car when i put those on: plus they were only 50 bucks each brand new., the only tire on that site with a better rating now are about 55 bucks, long treadlife, and good water traction, the BFG traction t/a they got a new rating and the design on the tires has changed so im guessing BFG has done some upgrading. but those tires now have a better user rating than the firehawks did when i ordered them. and they're dirt cheap. you cant lose with either choice. and remember; the right tire just might save your life.

I would get the 205 50 15 size you would be happier as far as tires are concerned look into the Dunlop SP 5000 should run you about 100.00 a tire they are a high performance all season tire
