Default HELP: low control arm replacement

i have a 94 acura integra recent i got into a car accident...
i jump the curve on my right side and the control stock steelies got dented bented my low control arm... my wheels was closer to the door when it was bented... i ordered a new lower control arm from some junkyard... replaced it and now the stupid wheel is closer to the front bumper.. it's about an inch off compare to the left side... i thought it was the lil bushing that's under the passenger side that's connected to the lower control arm.. the big bushing that you have to tighten the sh!t out off... i tried untighten that bolt push it back toward the rear bumper.. then tighten the lower control arm as tight as i can... but still it's off.. could it be that tighten piece? i dont see how it could be bent the bushing so big.. and it doesn't look like there's any damage on it.. has anyone ever have this problem? sorry about my grammer and spelling...

Caster is a problem that might not be a DIY unless you really know how to do it. You might wanna go to a nearby body shop and ask some advice. Most body shops will be happy to help, but they'd be happier to help you...for the right price, lol

this happened to my friend integra. He not only bent the lower control arm but also the sub frame that the control arm bolts up to. Wasn't cheap to repair. like c rogue69 said have a body shop look at it.

like cartuner said, you sould have bent the subframe, and possibly the knuckle.

i dont see how it could be bent forward tho... when i had a bent control arm it was pushed back now it's pushed forward.. that's the weird part.. i do autobody.. so i have access to a frame rack.. i'll have to examine the underbody to see if there's frame damage.. the front crossmember doesn't look damage at all

chances are your subframe and actual "unibody frame" is damaged. I put those in quotes b/c unibodies don't have actual frames, but you already knew that, right...? But there could be the possibility of a bent steering knuckle or POSSIBLY a bent strut. But, like I said before, have a body shop check it out first.

i measure the bottom of my car the other day found out that the crossmember is bented on the right.. i think wambamcivic is right the knuckle for the crossmember where the crossmemeber and control arm join is pushed forward.. i was hopping it was frame damage it would of been less expensive to fix because i have access to a frame rack.. i'm going to have to replace the crossmember.. gonna be a bitch and a half i bet.. i'm debating whether i should get a new one (i know where it's been) or a used one (no history) the use one would be much cheaper.. any tip on looking at a crossmember for damage would be nice besides measuring it

Sorry, not to confuse anybody...but that was me under wambamcivic's name. I was on a friend's computer and didn't realize I was signed on under his name. Anyways, the best way to check out your crossmember is to measure in Diagnals from corner to corner on the Subframe. That's probably the best way you can see how much is damaged. Look for where there might be stress cracks or anything of that sort. Look for little buckles in the metal to see if something was squeezed. Hope that helps you.
