Default my R is giving mad problems

ok so I recently check engine light came on....basically my Alternator fuse (7.5a) keeps blowing, put a new one in, then 3 days later blew again, and now I can't even put the fuse in, it just slips right out of the socket. So without the fuse working, the alternator won't charge the battery and the battery keeps dying on me. What really annoys me is when I drive and all the lights in the dash including the headlights pulsate. The really wierd thing is, I got a little battery pack in my car, that is used to jump the car in case i need it, so when i hook it up, the check engine light goes off, but when I take it off, it goes back on...any suggestions. What do u think I should do about the fuse not even going into the socket anymore.
The only electrical work I've had done in the car is a new radio and a viper alarm, but thats been in the car for four years without a problem.
Its got 22,000 miles on it (selling it if interested)..still a baby
Thanks

Now that you've posted this problem, don't expect a great price from anybody here

sound like you meed to replace the alternator , since it may be the cause of fuses getting blown or there maybe a short in the wiring

the voltage regulator in the alternator is probably dead.
