Default MSD question

I was wondering, I have a 1997 GSR and would MSD make the V-tec kick in better. I heard that v-tec is mostly electrical would anyone want to comment on that.

No, it's not electrical and an MSD unit would not help anything but making your pocketbook lighter.

I don't recommend MSD ignition at all. After 4 years that I had my Digital 6+ it took a crap on me. It had fried itself and left me stranded for a few hours before I had rewired it.

Besides many people have used the stock ignition teamed with an external coil and found them good up to 400hp. So yes, I think the OEM ignition is suited for most people.
