s2000 reception loss ..really?

Default s2000 reception loss ..really?

hmmm...is it really true you lose 10 to 20% reception loss if you install the s2000 antenna? loss to where u hear garbage? or loss where u hear..lil fuzzy wuzzy sounds

Yes, any FM antenna shorter or taller then 31.5" is going to suffer reception-wise. 31.5" is the ideal length for FM radio reception in North America. If you're a big AM guy, you want the longest antenna possible.

S2000 antenna (on its original car, s2k) also has a signal amplifer for the antenna. If you fail to use that on an Integra for example, your reception will drop even more.

10% to 20%? i'd say much worse.. some people fix the loss in reception by wiring in a home receiver antenna. it's what i did. it's still not as good as stock, but i'd say it's at about 80-90% now, where as it was maybe 50% before.
