Stupid car...Radiator's busted

i was driving today and noticed smoke, so i poped the hood, and i found out my radiator was busted at the top. i was wondering what i could put in it so seal it, and keep it sealed. basically, what could i ghetto rig it with. Also, what couldve caused it to bust? what couldve made the pressure go up so much, just to bust?

edit- uploaded pix, and drew a white line in the side pic of how big the crack is.

Very common. Crappy radiators, metal with plastic endcaps.

Get an all aluminum rad.

All aluminum radiators are nice, but until I'm willing to spend $350+, I just bought some cheapo aftermarket thing for $90 with lifetime warranty.

Yeah... the cracks along the top are an inevitable consequence of having an OE radiator.

dude your car's got some bad karma

yeah, its cursed. does anyone know if you can mate a b18a block with a b18b head?

the crack its at the top, where i cant access it with goo. unless you can take radiators apart easy...? the crack is about 6in long. i was kind of weary of using this powdery shit that i chopped up and stuck in there. i dont want it clogging my coolant system up.

You can buy cheapo all aluminum aftermarkets too. $150 or so. Not saying he needs a Fluidyne or anything, just that all aluminum will last longer.

Yes, I too lost my OEM radiator around 104K miles. I too went to radiator.com and bought some cheapo with a lifetime warranty - haven't had a problem since. But, if you want, you can get the Koyo radiators they have for sale on there - good radiator if you don't feel like spending the dough for the Fluidyne.
