did i install the neuspeed koni sp3's correctly?
i finally installed with my bro neuspeed koni on my integra gsr 2000, can you take a pic of your car of how the shocks should look like installed, because i finally install shocks, its weird the front became higher than before, before i had neuspeed race springs with stock shocks which sat low, and after i installed the neuspeed konis with the neuspeed race springs, and the height raise a little, its not as low as before is this normal, did you have the same problem, i didnt have time to install rear, will do when i have time
i heard a pop noise, but its gone now |
is the rear going to be much easier, do i need alignment
|
im not sure of the sp3s, but i think they offer adjustable heights too. someone correct me on that.
and i would advise you to get an alignment. |
yea the come 5 way adjustment they are newer versions of koni yellows, hey will do you have pics of the koni yellows installed
|
Thats interesting... the struts should not affect the ride height at all unless for some reason the length is longer than the stock ones. If I remember correctly the Koni SP3's are a bit shorter than the yellow Konis?? Don't know what to say bro.
BTW, the adjustability doesn't control height, just stiffness. |
help guys here are pics of the shocks do i have to put the long black cover on , it wont fit on hole to cover the bump stop

here is the pic of koni yellows is this the right setup guys do i need to put that black long cover ,
look at the pic of stock shock and see that black cover does go on the new koni yellow it wont fit because i didnt install it |
All Koni Yellows have a height adjustment. The spring perch has three notches in which it can be mounted. The SP3s as modified by Neuspeed have 5 notches, and are shorter than stock.
I would say that it's possibly the spring perch position you used was such that it would put the ride height a bit higher than stock. You can take the shocks out and see which notch for the spring perches gives you the desired height, although that does require disassembling everything again to adjust it. |
i adjust the height to the lowest height
|
i set the spring perch on the lowest one it was set normal before and i change it to the lowest setting lowest height
