Default Autometer Mechanical Water Temp install?...

well i got my pod, water temp gauge and air fuel ratio today in the mail and the connector for the Water temp looks like something that doesnt go anywhere on my car. My bro who has done a million things on our cars said it wont work? but i said there has to be a way, anyone with the same problem or any ideas on hooking this thing up? by the way there are two electrical wires and one thicker wire thats pretty long and has this like 2or3 inch bronze thing shaped kinda like a finger at the end that goes somewhere, problem is i dont know where...thanx in advance.

Default consolation

if it's any consolation, I feel I may have run into the same thing about my transmission tech question...

I have a rough understanding of how stuff works, so sometimes that helps me think outside of the box on these things...can you tell me what exactly you're hooking up and around where it may normally go?
