Konig Helium's
I am gonna buy a set of the 15 inch Konig Heliums for my GSR. The wheel is 15x6.5, what would be the best tire size for these? I have 17" Velox now, and I hate them. The wheel sticks out past the tire so they get little nicks and scratches, plus they weigh a ton. I want the tire to sitck out a little bit past the wheel like most tires do, so what would be the best choice for this wheel? I was thinking 205/50/15, but I am not sure. HELP!!!

205/50/15 is the aftermarket standard for 15"s, since it's slightly wider than the stock 195/55/15. That's what I'm rocking on my '95 GSR rims. The tire does stick out a little past the wheel, but not a whole lot.

since the konig wheel is a 15x6.5, isn't that a little wider than stock? I thought that stock is 15x6. I just want a little tire to go past the wheel so I don't have the same problem as my 17's now. Also, does anyone know the cheapest place to get them besides ebay? Thanks

You can get Heliums from discounttiredirect.com for $111 a piece shipped. A 205/50-15 tire on a 15x6.5" wheel should protect the rim pretty well.

205's on 17X7 wheels will leave a gap in between the edge of the tire and the edge of the rim??? :eh: that sucks ass. I have 215's on my car now and they rub all the time. would 210's still rub??? cause i dont want my wheels to look like that with the 205's

Are those velox vx-8's on ur car, if so thats exactly what I have on my 98 GSR, even the same color. Yeah, I have 205/40/17 Falken tires on them and the rim sticks out past the tire, I hate it!!
The wheels all have little nicks and scratches because anything that hits, hits the wheel because they stick out a little bit past the tire. I think it maybe the rim, because they do have pretty large lips on them. I don't think a 210 is available, not sure though. |

Stock wheel sizes aren't 15x5.5, not on the 98-01 GSR's. Those were the blade type wheels and they are 15x6.
