Okay so i got my hands on a option2 vid - & they said that they put b18(GSR) gutts in b16a2 engine...

I want to know::::

1) A Short Block Includes what???

2) Is the b16a1 that much differant from b16a2 other than obdI & obdII???

3) Will I gain anything from installing a b16a2 head on a b16a1?

Im not BIG on tha ENgine ttech thing.. please help me out here..

 

1. short block is just the block and everything inside the block, no head, no tranny, etc.
2. b16a1 has a cable tranny and b16a2 has hydro tranny
3. same head. cams may be a little different, but not by much

how can i make tha b16a1 into a somewhat obd2 set up...?..

also i can just stick tha hydro tranny from tha 2nd gen onto a 1st gen...

 

why would you want to make a b16a1 obd2?

there is an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness available. but you should just get a b16a2 to make it easier on yourself on the wiring, tranny.

out here in cali, the engine has to be the same year or newer to pass visual. dont know about where you are.

 

I wonder what they did about the deck height difference between the b18 and b16....

 

i would if i could find a damn b16a2 for $1000 or l0wer...
