for a motor swap into a hatch (ex. droppin a B18C1 into a Dx hatch) would u need a custom made catback or could i just use the 92-95 catback 1w/o modification.........maybe ill just go uni mufler but id rather get some power out of it, and a better sound

its best to buy a catback thats meant to go into the car, then go to a muffler shop to get the new engine's header and cat to fit.

i have a dc jdm header and brospeed exhaust, with a custom cat to fit between them. if i ever want to change my exhaust, i can buy any exhaust for a 92-95 si hatch

I'm swapping a B16a2 Del Sol SI engine into my 1995 Civic DX Non Vtec Coupe...

JapanDomesticMotor.com doesnt list their swaps to come with mounts, so I looked up hasport and they have some nice mounts... however, do I need to buy the transmission mount too? the kit comes with a left, passenger, and rear mount. Then theres an extra transmission mount you can buy. Is it worth it?

So basically I'm asking if I need any of these hasport items...

Lower Transmission Mount???

B-Series Distributor Sub-assembly for 92-95 Civics and 92-95 Integras with B-Series VTEC Engines (JapanDomesticMotor includes a distributor, so I guess I dont need this???)

Complete Axels (Designed for use with hasport mounts) ???

Custom A/C Bracket (to keep your civic a/c) ??? (i bought an A/C bracket for the b16a off ebay, so I'll be able to use the new A/C in my car right???

Rear Engine Bracket???

http://tech.hybridgarage.com should answer most of your questions.

when shopping for a swap, make sure u know whats included for the price. mounts can easily run you another $200-$500. are u getting the motor from a USDM delsol vtec? then it should be a b16a3. the factory mounts should bolt right into your car, as well as the included A/C bracket, and harness. the shiftlinkage off a b16 delsol WILL NOT work. you'll need a linkage off an 94+ integ or 99+ si

so do i need to worry about VTEC wiring?

if i buy the wiring subharness for the B Series VTEC from Hasport, that'll put the VTEC wiring in and i wont have to do it?!?!

im going to buy the hasport mounts anyway just for the hell of it... i just need to find out if i need to buy the lower transmission mount also...

as for the A/C bracket, I think it's included in the swap, but I'm going to find out... if not... hasport also offers that...

You have to wire VTEC from the solenoid to the ECU in order for it to actually work. B16 w/o VTEC is...

Hasport mounts are good, but I decided not to go for them because I was afraid of engine vibrations throughout the cabin.

You might have to play around with the right A/C mount for your A/C unit. Certain ones will not work right.
