Default recharging A/C help

my 98 civic is blowing warm air when i turn on the a/c (guessing it's out of freon). How would recharge it myself? or have to take it to a professional? if that the case, how much would it be?

If its blowing hot air then you have a small leak somewhere because freon just recirculates in the ac system so it does run out unless its got a leak. So you would be better off having a shop find the leak and recharge it.

Its hard to say it depends on whats leaking probably a seal so I would say like $30-$100 It is an easy fix. But you can`t do it yourself because you have to be certified to handle freon since it eats up the ozone.
