whats going on with my clutch
i got a new act stage 2 clutch 5months ago and today my clutch pedal got preatty loose and is hard to shift in my gears does anyone know whats up. my clutch got replace in a honda dealership. thanx
sounds like a fluid problem. do you hear any clanking around in the engine compartment? maybe the honda tech was also co-starring as a dipshit mechanic with no experience? may not have properly clipped in the release fork or something.
If you don't have any hydrolic / fluid issues as previously suggested then check the actual clutch pedal.
There should be two nuts holding the clutch pedal to the bolts from the master cylinder. Then there should be a third bolt going through the top of the pedal into the underside of the dash which keeps the pedal from flexing on the firewall when you push the pedal down. If the pedal flexes then the hydrolics of the master cylinder aren't fully accuated.
I had problems getting my civic into gear when I pushed the clutch in Turns out it was the third bolt that held the top of the pedal to the underside of the dash area. The bolt was loose causing the pedal to flex with the firewall... I tightened it.... the car got in to and out of gears just fine.
