Default Need Help....H22A Swap

Alright, I need some help. I just came across a 95 H22A JDM motor and trans. I have a 00 Civic ex that I want to do the swap into. Now I have heard from some people that it's a bad idea, but then others tell me it's a good swap to do.

I need the pros and con's of doing this swap. Also, where can i get a install "kit", or find a writeup of everything I need.

Thanks:thumbup:

pro's:

lots of tq and hp
not too many people have this swap (show points)

con's
1. OMF this is a mother to put in!!!
2. need various parts from other honda's and extras that will run you alot in the long run
3. heavy but not bad if you leave the A/C by the wayside
4. clearance issues. Meaning more parts.

in all I would say, as I'm sure I didn't list all the con's, that the con's far outway the pos's homy.

I have a friend that put one in his hatch. Took him more the a month to complete due to the necessary parts wait. He also needed a Hondata to go along with his swap. He had to order a FAL as well as other various parts.

Pure headache man

After all was said and done he could have purchased a B18C Type R for all the money he spent.

You're gonna need a beefed up front suspension to carry that weight. And probably new brakes and sticky tires so you don't just spin them in first.
