i opened up the tranny finally...

Default i opened up the tranny finally...

with some help from a neighbor and i didnt break any gears or whatever, they actually look in good condition...BUT i did break a shirt fork. is that common?

Shift forks can break pretty regular with impatient shifting, when you try to shove it into gear without full clutch disengagement. They can also break if you use too much arm muscle in your shift habits.

just curious... any plan to try to rebuild it???
i dont know shit about taking apart them.. but if i had a spare broken one.. i think id be compelled to try to fix it

if its cheap..than yeah, ill rebuilt it and sell it.

nothing is wrong with the syncros or gears, the 2-3 gear fork broke, and that is what was grinding and popping it out of gear.

i awalys wanted to rip apart my GSR tranny just too see how many teeth were missing in 2nd but im not motivated enough
