Default Vtec Controller

Just wanted to know if anyone could help me with Vtec Controller installation on a Automatic 1997 Honda Civic Ex......My ecu looks totally different i think cause its an automatic car.....just wanted to know if anyone has encountered this that could help me out.....

your ecu shouldnt look any different...the differences from an auto to manual ecu are on the inside of the ecu

the only difference on the auto ecu is the extra plug for auto sensors/etc. the rest of the plugs should be identical to manual models

why would you even get a vtec controller for an automatic car anyway?

because he got it for almost free...

and I TOLD him to go for it.. im also helping him put this in so id appreciate any info.. i assume the extra plug is just for the auto tranny?

i think you are completely wrong... im almost positive the extra plug is for it being auto.. how sure are you???

yes, plug B is for automatics only..you should not have to worry about connecting anything on this plug... go about the install as if it was a manual.. a vtec controller for an auto :thinking: that's something new!!.
