Default my car is teh suck (again)

my dumb car is leaking coolant again. so dumb. i think i'm just gonna buy a new car (when i can) and get rid of this one. i've had so many problems all of a sudden. ... tranny going out, radiator going out, blown headgasket, water pump going out, thermostat going out, other stuff breaking. i think it's time to move on.

don't give up so easy. looks like you've fixed everything else. just get a new coolant hose for whatever's leaking and some new clamps. that's the cheap stuff, man. unless of course, it's leaking from the water pump itself, or from between the head and the block.:nervous:

No, dude. Its time to swap.

Dont let it get you down... My car is just as bad. Pretty much every time I work on it, something ends up going wrong.... random shit brakes (melted distributor , muffler falls off taking the rear bumper with it, break ins, horrible brake trouble, the list goes on) You just have to expect it. And who's to say you'll have better luck with another car? Lets face it, the car gods just frown on some of us... I've had terrible luck with every car I've owned, and spent more money over the years than I care to calculate trying to keep shitboxes and rustbuckets running. Its just the way it is.

Back of the motor? Or on the timing side of the motor?

If you want a fun, gofast car that you can work on yourself, you have to plan on running into problems... If reliable is all you care about, why not just buy a corolla or something :dunno: Sometimes you have to re-evaluate your priorities... I personally, would rather have an annoying finicky car that I can race on the weekends than a boring grocery getter w/ a warrantee.

i totally agree. but to start with a car that isn't very reliable in the first place isn't the best idea in the world. i'm thinking about getting a 99-00 ek or a gs-r and starting over. i don't really plan on getting rid of this car (if i can manage it), but getting something to take me to work.
