how to read CEL?
i searched, didnt find anything valuable. maybe im retarded, maybe just impatient.
my car wont start, i think it's fuel, i turned my key to the on position the CEL stayed on once for a long time then 10 short flashes... but that means nothing to me.

As long as you're not talking about the maintenance reqd. light...
There's a two-wire connector stuck up under the dash on the passenger side, where the kick panel goes up to the bottom of the glove box. Short it with a paper clip then watch the CEL blink. Long=10, short=1.

Maintenance reminder light is just a reminder that it's been 7000 miles since the last time it was reset. After 7500 miles it stays on solid instead of blinking.
There's a little button under the dashboard, facing towards your right toe. Crawl down by the pedals & look. Press it while the light is on, hold it in for a while till the light goes out. Then do it again every 7000 miles. Don't forget to change your oil, too.
