Default Air vents speed setting 1 and 2 not working. 96 Integra... Suggestions?

Wassup ya'll!?!?

I got in my car today and turned on the A/C and set it to 4 on the air vent speed. Once the car cooled down, I switched it down to 2 and noticed it wasn't working like it usually did. The A/C light stays on and all. Switching it all the way off, the A/C light goes off... So whenever it's on setting 1 and 2, the lights light up, but no air is "really" being blown in anymore. Settings 3 and 4 are ok. So in a nutshell settings 1 and 2 ain't working...

Do you guys know if this is some easy fix I can do myself or does this sound like something I'll have to fork over some money to a mechanic?

Thanks in advance....

Fan speed control resistor is mounted somewhere under tha dashboard. Take out the glovebox & it's in there somewhere. I don't have the Helm book with me now, so I don't know exactly where.

Jim,

Do you think I just need to replace the resistor and that should do it?

That's usually it when slower speeds quit & faster speeds keep working. The highest speed doesn't even use that resistor at all.

While were on the subject..Anybody know how to take that panel off? My light that lights up the numbers will intermediately light up or not when I go to turn on the parking lights. I would like to get in there to check it out, without getting the dealer invoved. BTW you can send me a PM if you want. Thanks.
