Default Help, loss of power after shifting to 2nd

Just about 10 minutes ago i was pulling out of the local speed shop. The speed limit is 55, so i had to get on it pretty good to keep pace. When i shifted into 2nd it felt like there was a little bit of a power loss. And, the exhaust sounds funny. It kind of sounds like a helicopter in the distance. Also, the exhaust is vibrating alot, and shaking more then usual. This sucks. Anyone know what is wrong? thank you in advance.

i got the exhaust, header, and pipe put on abour 3 - 4 months ago by a very good shop. Yes i have an aftermarket filter. The exhaust itself seems to be shaking alot more then it was before. It idles fine. When i floor it in neutral, it seems to have trouble getting out of the low rpms.

Try a basic tune up. Plugs/wires/cap/rotor.

i have new plugs and wires. I went out and started the car again. The exhaust is kind of "spuddering". Dosen't sound like its free flowing. Could my cat of maybe went out, or fell apart on the inside, causing to much back pressure?

check your wires no matter if they are new or not i dont care just check them by pulling them one at a time and listen to the motor to see if it makes a difference on how it is running. if your cat is bad then you can test that by getting under your car and hiting it and see if something inside it rattles. as far as tune up how abotu a cap and rotor have they been replaced. i think i am having the same prob but mine just kinda hits certain spots in the rpm range that it kinda laggs and then it will hit a "good" spot and go and then it might hit another. they are all below 3500 rpm. when it gets to like 4k its go time.
