I don't have a manual for my car, never came w. one when i purchased it from the previous owner. I do have a car guide for my car...but i can't seem to find the problem. The problem is that the "MAINT REGO" icon came on today on my dashboard right near my speedometer in yellow letters, and I don't know what it means! MY car is running fine, it's just that i can't quite figure what this icon means. It would help if i got an answer ASAP. PLEASE HELP!

 

That's MAINT REQD (maintanance required) and don't worry. It's set to go off at certain mileages just so you have to pay your dealership to turn it off (and supposedly perform some sort of service).

How many miles does your car have? you might need to have one of the scheduled services done.

 

If you want to turn it off this is how. Get down on the ground in the drivers seatand look under the steering column and all of that stuff. And look for a little square button. It is either white or blue I can't remember. But turn your car to accessories and then hold the button down for about 5-10 seconds I think it should be and it should turn itself off.

I bought my 97 ls coupe from my cousin, she said the button got removed after the recall a few years ago.. i haven't cked for it, but i dont' mind the light on haha.. she says it's been on since 2001..
