Default Exhaust Dump

I was thinking. . . Dc makes a header that dumps the exhaust where the cat would be, would disconnecting my cat and runing a straight header produce the 17+ hp to the wheels like the dc race header??

I think im gonna try this next time at the track, anyone else have any expirience with this??

I don't know about 17 HP, but when you're running high RPM like at the strip, an open header will do well. Might knock a .1 or a little more off your time.

Those super long headers can make more power even with a cat. Some Hytech and SMSP headers are as long... just have to cut back your exhaust a little bit.

so would i be better off running it just off the headder or having some type of extention bolted onto the headder to make it longer? It probably doesnt matter, ill try it probably this tuesday, just off the headder.
