Eagle Talon TSi AWD or wait for a GS-R?
Alright, I can get a black '96 Eagle Talon TSi AWD 5-speed right now. It's a pretty phat car and its fast.
Turbocharged+all wheel drive=fun.
I really want a black GS-R so I don't know if I should wait for a nice GS-R or just get this. I'm tired of waiting for a car, and GS-R's are hard to find.
If it was an Eclipse GSX I would probably snatch it up right away, but the talon seems kinda like a cheaper version.
So should I wait for a black gsr or get this talon?
VTEC seems pussy compared to turbocharged all wheel drive.
14.9 in the quarter mile stock.

the talon is exactly the same as the eclipse. If anything the talon was the upper scale version. If you want something that is go fast get the talon. But it will also go fast to the shop. Those things are notorius for being in the shop
IMO I'd go with the GS-R... but that's cause when I was in a similar situation, I got the GS-R.
Of course, don't get me wrong, turbo AWD is nice, and it can go really damn fast, BUT you're the one that's gonna have to pay for the repairs.
And I dunno the handling of the Talons, but the GS-R handles soooo nicely...

As for handling, I'm sure the AWD will outperform a GS-R on the track - although you don't see many of them at SCCA events and such.
I drove quite a few dsm's before I bought my integra and they just do not drive as nice. And I found it hard to see out of. If you are just going for fast then get the talon, But IMO the gsr is the superior overall car.
The Talon Tsi AWD, like the Eclipse GSX, had major issues with both transmissions and CV joints, of which I believe it had 8. Reliability is certainly sub-par. But they are fast, and can be made faster with the usual turbo swap or whatnot. Wasn't crankwalk an issue with those engines?
