All those with JDM/JDM Style headlamps*
Do you have geniune headlamps? If so where'd you get them and for how much?
Did you do it yourself? If so, how'd you go about it?
Lastly, pictures
. I'd really like to see a Nighthawk Black RSX with them if anyone has pictures

i did mine myself. for about $25, i bought some primer and flat black spraypaint (i personally prefer flat as opposed to glossy, so i dont get the lil reflective effect inside the headlight)... took off the bumper, cracked em open, sanded down the chrome parts, masked off the signal, masked off the part under the orange lenses as well (this is the only thing that makes my setup slightly different from most of the DIY'er setups), and 2 coats of primer along with 3-4 coats of black
in my opinion, authentic JDM's suck for a bunch of reasons:
1. they're ridiculously expensive for what you get (i believe roughly $350-400 for the non-hid version)
2. the beam pattern is off (designed for RHD)
3. the shade of color isn't black black, it's black with a hint of bronze, which is why DIY blackouts look better on nighthawk black than JDM lamps

I did mine myself in about 5 hours one afternoon...
I suggest using your oven to heat the housings so you can pry them apart. The heat gun method takes longer and is much more labor intensive. Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees and put housing in for 20 minutes. Repeat the process to push the housings back together once painted and reassembled.

i'd stay away from the jdm headlamps though. they're slanted to shine more light to the left and when you install them ... you'll get high beamed by oncoming traffic all the time.
the genuine lamps are more of a smoked chrome than black too. they're really prudy.

I too continue to read posts of people getting flashed after installing the JDM lights. Me... I just didn't want to spend the 500 bucks on something I could replicate for 20 bucks and an afternoon.

.If I came across a good deal on headlamps though, I wouldn't be one to pass it up
