Default my car is getting slow..

do i need a compression test? does anyone feel the same way? i only have basic performance upgrades(no cat, header, exhaust, intake, spark plugs, wires), eventhough it helps little on my teg, it is noticeably getting slower everytime i drive it.. i can even chirp the second gear no matter how hard i try.. i installed new clutch and type-r flywheel less than 4 month ago.., but getting into third gear is pain in the ass now..!!?? my car ran flat 15 sec 1/4 mile.. anyone can guess the problem? my car has 120k miles, but had major tune up at 100k, stock internal, but changed almost everything... i noticed there's so much lag before vtec kicks in.. any opinion appreciated..

I think 15 flat is a good time for what mods u have maybe it just feels slower because u are used to driving it get a new mod that may help.

Exactly, this is a common problem. You get used to how speedy a car is, and after time it feels slow. I went through this very same problem, and thought something was wrong. Everything checked out ok, did a valve adjustment. Might want to try cleaning your air filter out, that could cause it to be a little sluggish, I know it does on my car.

Chirping is a direct byproduct of having a clutch that grabs. When my clutch was going out I could no longer chirp 2nd.

just cuz you cant chirp a gear like said it could be a clutch going out or just tires are getting bad
also depends on the road surface and what not
also keep in mind at least here in cali its really hot which will take away from performance

Me and Airon a jackass? Now son, what happens when you don't properly break in a clutch? Or perhaps you get grease on the clutch disc while installing it? That's right, the clutch glazes and doesnt hold anymore. Oh but you probably wouldn't know anything about that. And how about getting faulty products? No one has ever gotten a bad clutch before I bet Before you go on this board as a newbie and call us jackasses, you better get your **** straight before you try and kick some knowledge you don't have. Remember, you're the one that thinks its power that makes you chirp gears, not a clutch.
