Default FI guys - tranny ?

There's a few threads out there on this, but the consensus seems to change all the time so I want some new info.

What tranny should I go with for boost?

I always thought LS cause you drop lower in the RPMs when getting on it so you use more of the boost power; whereas with the GSR tranny, it keeps you up in the RPMs for VTEC and you waste a lot of the boost power.

I talked to another guy that said they've been running boosted tegs/civics on GSR trannys for the last few years and tearing up those with LS trannys.

Which should I be shopping for?

Thanks!

Gsr tranny. The acceleration is so much better. My old hatch had a gsr tranny and with the exception of first it was great.

That longer gear crap is just a bunch of hype started by noobs with no experience.

with the ls tranny you'll be in boost longer but spool slower.

gsr tranny will accelerate quicker, but you'll shift gears quicker.

both have their advantages.

i'd got for a lsd equiped gsr tranny.

:werd: my cuzin with a b20 turbo, ran a 2000 gsr tranny in his setup, much better improvement in times and acceleration then his ls tranny. stick with the gsr tranny. you could go with a b16 tranny but with the shorter gears, u will be shiftin quite often once boost picks up.

GSR, but 3rd syncro is pretty much done, sounds like it's got something rolling around in there when I come out of 2nd into neutral and coast (sometimes), and my diff ticks when I turn right.

Sadly, when I did my swap, I had the tranny shop here check it out and they said it was find :jerkit: riiiiiight

I think it would cost more to get everything fixed than it would to replace. :dunno:

Can you check on pricing for me and PM me?
