Default What should i pay for a Turbo?

I found a used Greddy td04-15g turbo for sale and im wondering what i should pay for it? It has no shaft play and all the gaskets are good. Ive got the greddy kit, my turbo is just fried. The guy thats selling it asked me what a used greddy turbo goes for. So i need your guys help on what to offer him for it. It has about 5000 miles on it, but i really dont care, i just need a turbo and ive looked all over and this is the only one i found. Thanks

depending on what all it comes with... if it's in as good of shape as you say - $1000

:edit: I mean if it's this kit: http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...k=yes&dept=124

If it's just the turbo... don't get it.

It's not a T4 it's a TDO4 15g, very small, useless turbo. I would'nt pay more than $200.00 for it. Is there any oil residue inside the turbine housing? If so, then I would'nt pay more than $75.00 for it.

td04 15g? is it going on a lawn mower? I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. At least get the 18g.

All of those turbos are great, but im not lookin to have to make an adapter plate or buy one off-line and then have to make a different down pipe and then have to make different charge pipes for my intercooler. So thats why i want a direct bolt on replacement so i can get it for cheap, wont have to worry about any of that, and be boosting right when i get it.

You're best off building a flange for a Mitsubishi TD05 housing. It's available in a 6cm and 7 cm. There are tons of turbos with these flanges, and the turbos can be had CHEAP. Stock 4g63T's come with either a Garrett T-25, Mitsubishi 14b, 13c, or if you have a JDM, some have a 16g. ALL OF THESE have the same manifold flange and o2 housing. So if you fabricate something for that housing, you won't ever have to change your exhaust. As far as the compressor housing is concerned, all of the Mitsubishi turbos have the same flange. The Garretts don't. In fact, they don't even have a flange. You use a hose clamp.

14b's could be found for as little as $150 in decent shape. They're good for a 12 second pass on a 2.0L DSM. Who knows what they'll do on a Honda. Not me.

If you want a spool factory, go for the 13c. It came on automatic '90 T/E/L's and Turbo Colt/Mirage hatchbacks. They're nearly free.

Otherwise go for a Turbonetics flange. I don't think those work very well, but others may disagree. Just not an efficient enough of a turbo for my taste.
