Default Gas Tank Fill Hose/Line

Gents, been having one hell of a day. Figure I should start another trend for this one...

I'm in the process of dropping my gas tank. I had to cut the bolts holding the straps, they were FUBAR'd. I lowered it a little to get a better angle for the filler hose, but the *&^# hose does not want to come off the tank, or the filler hose metal part. ITs really stuck on there. Any special trick?

I usually just twist the hose on the nipple with a pair of pliers to break them loose, never dropped the gas tank though. Why are you dropping the gas tank anyway?

I got my wifes balls out of her purse and got it off.

My tank was leaking at the EVAP valve. And rusted the side out. I finally got the tank in last night but am having other issues now. Car is DEAD. But I'll come to that bridge when I get home.

Is it a battery issue or just a fuel issue?
