Default I'm thinking of Buying a RSX TYPE S ???

Well first of i want to say. i was in a decision last year to where i wanted a rsx but didn't have money but now at the end of summer i will have money to buy a New Car since i wanted a stick to begain with. Well right now i drive a civic 2000 coupei love it but i want a stick i want some more power. And a Rsx seems right in my face of what i want. I'm wanting a Typle S but i thought since u all knew bout cars if u all know when Dealers start to knock some money off the cars when new models such as 04's come out and stuff. And plus i don't have that much background on driving a stick. yEAH I BEt your all laughing. But is there any pointers u all can give me i guess. But other than that damn those Rsx type S for spining me round circles.
Thanks

Good choice in cars. I am very happy with my rsx and I am sure you would be to. Also, welcome to the board.

the clutch on the type s is a very good clutch which means for newbs its kinda hard to learn on. its a fairly grippy clutch. however once you get used to the car you learn to love the feel of it.

Default Thanks guys.

i want to say thanks for saying welcome aboard to me and thankyou for the replys . Well i just got a recourse tonite in driving stick. I drove my firends nissan frontier. I did great the only thing i did was i had a hard time taking off from a stop. Which i take it the more i drive stick i guess the more i'll get use to it i just seemed to be very nervous i guess. Did highways and all that. But should i keep practicing in the truck or should i get use to the car. If i may ask to you all when u all started to learn to drive stick was your area toughest at taking off or anything close to that. I Don't mean to bother u all just a person in learning. And a very happy and excited person in the import seen of hondas.

Thanks

Get the S. The first time you hit Vtec and take it to 8100 a smile will come across your face.

My RSX-S is my first manual, and yes, taking off from a stop is by far the hardest part of learning to drive a stick. I did a lot of parking lot practice in the begining, but you can only learn so much in a flat, empty parking lot. In my first few days on the road I had my fair share of stalls and jerky starts but after a few weeks of daily driving you'll have everything down and you won't even have to think about it anymore. My best advice -- try not to get frustrated. Everybody who drives a stick was a newbie once and everyone goes through the same learning curve -- just remain calm and patient and you'll get the hang of it with practice.

i just moved from philly to nyc and now have to sell it so just wanted to let you know if you didnt know where you were gonna buy it from yet...i put rims on it and a custom system too...and heres a pic.
very sad to get rid of it but no way i can afford to keep it here.

I knew how to drive manual before I got my RSX-S so I guess my input wouldn't help. However, my first manual was a 99 Integra GSR....so I would assume the learning curve should be about the same. I mean....it's so smooth and easy that you should be able to pick up in no time
