How can I reduce loud/noisy motor?
Here's my setup...
JDM ITR motor, stage 2 Skunk2 cams and cam gears, DC 4-1 headers w/ 2.5" collector, short ram intake, Carsound hi-flow cat, Trust piping, ES 2.5" muffler, and Mugen ECU chip.
What could I do to reduce noise/sound? I'm really concerned as I feel I'll get pulled over every other block. I could be exaggerating but it's pretty loud. What can I do to make it sound almost stock? Should I start by putting stock ITR cams in or headers?

if you wanna sound almost stock, take all that off. :chuckles:
seriously though, if you wanna make it quieter, think about adding some resonators to the exhaust. :dunno:
oh and you have one "header"

try buying an axle back that comes with a silencer ex. T1R, Apexi N1, Buddy club spec 3. Also look into the Mugen twin loop axle back I hear they sound quiet until vtec kicks in then it SCREAMS
try the OEM exhaust system [it'll sound better]. Then look at your intake. If you don't have any expansion volume [like the OEM system has (the air box)] then it will be loud. The longer the length of the AEM tube the lower the frequency.
Posted in an earlier thread but:
If you have the budget, check out the Hytech full exhaust. Renault hi-flo cat, 2.5" piping, and a Mugen twin-loop design axle-back. You will not lose any power, and you'll be able to cut most of the noise problems you've been having.
