Default READ THIS! - you will not believe it

and I have NO luck - first the door gets backed into now this - i need some advice - i'm driving back from the U of MN campus at 2:45 am on 6/19/2003 and a white 15 passenger van passes me (i'm in the slow lane) - I see 4 or 5 males in the van - all the lights are on - the side door opens so i hit the brakes and fall behind the fan (now in the middle lane) he hits his brakes and moves to the far left lane and slows way down . .so i punch it and move back to the right to get around him - at the same time he veers at my car - the door swings wide open and some ASSHOLE throws a large ****ING item at my car - i hear BAAAM and i'm just in shock- the van picks up speed - well above the legal limit and i give pursuit- i followed it to an exit and caught up close enough to grab the license plate - then he hits his brakes and turns onto a side street and i pull a u-turn - i have his license plate EPE 346 - its minnesota plates - is there anything i can do about this? There isn't much damage to my car but there is noticeable paint damage- It was totally unprovoked and i still can't believe it. If someone here knows the laws pretty well let me know my options - i at least want these guys to know that this is not cool - any help would be appreciated

thanks

report it the proper authorities but most likely nothing will happen because even if they do find the van and the driver he most likely will not tell them who threw the crap at you. but report it anyways never know what can happen.

You can't go wrong with reporting the accident. Maybe you can find out where the van's home is and pay the VAN a visit.

I would report it to the police and should have been done that morning but I would still do it now. Even if the driver doesn't tell who through it he should still be responsible for the passengers in his vehicle. Most likely the drivers insurance will pick it up.
