Default gsr intake manifold on ls

Does anyone know what kind of work it is to put a GSR intake manifold on an Ls. I'm going with nitrous and NOS has a nice wet plate kit, but it only fits on the GSR because the intake manifold is 2 piece. I have a bid in on one on ebay, but don't know what kind of machining I'm getting into....thanks

I believe you are going to need to drill holes in the GSR IM in order for it to match up to the B18B head.

But you are going to need something to control the secondary valves to open.

No...there is a wire that runs from the ECU on a GSR that opens the intake air bypass valve. My buddy had to add one of these wires when installing a B18C into his Civic EX. Without it the secondaries would not open.

Do you think there is a way to hook it to a rpm switch?

IMO its not worth the trouble and money to do it....go with another brand of nitrous such as NX or ZEX...to make a gsr manifold fit an LS head is not worth it...you may even lose HP from doing it.

Go direct port. That manifold is only going to hurt you.

I'm with everyone else with this and would go with another kit but don't those secondaries open to late for the LS anyways???

If you have a stock B18b block, then go with Nitrous Express, their kits allow you to use stock internals and stock fuel delivery and still use a 75 shot. And stay with a dry set up, wet systems are for serious racing only, dry systems are more street worthy and cheaper, and dont go direct port either. Get a $600 Fast and Furious kit from Nitrous Express, i know it sounds whack having a fast and furious kit, but they work on stock everything, with no timing retards, and its cheap.
