Default GSR Stock Spark Plugs

The NGK OEM plugs are 12 bucks a piece at my local parts store. Are they worth it? Should I stick with them, or go with lower grade NGKs?

NGK Platinum's are recommended for best performance for your Integra!

Default check your owner's manual

The owner's manual shows which spark plugs are recommended for your car. My manual lists NGK or Denso platinums. The Densos are half the price of NGKs ($6.50 each at drivewire.com).

I can't see how going with the plugs recommended in the manual would lead you wrong.

PS I won't hit 60k for another couple months. So if someone says Densos suck, it would be good to hear now.

Default Bosch platinums are $3 each

When you go to drivewire.com, and enter your car info, up pops spark plugs and prices. For my 98 GS-R, it shows NGKs at about $12 each, Densos at about $6 each, and Bosch Platinums for about $3 each. (There are also Bosch at $1.50 each, but I assume they are not platinum.)

My owner's manual lists NGK and Denso; I went with Denso.

Would Bosch Platinums work? I'd guess probably yes; how complicated could a spark plug be, after all. But I don't want to worry about saving $14 for items that are replaced every 60k miles.

If my owner's manual hadn't listed Denso, I would have gone with NGK.

Default That's a great deal!

I already have Denso plugs ready to put in my engine. But I have some idle time to Google.

NGK plugs for b18c1 is PFR6G; this is from www.ngksparkplugs.com, as well as from www.drivewire.com. My manual is in my car, which is too far away right now.

So Googling on NGK PFR6G, I find sites with the following pricing (each):
$12.50 - Volvo shop in CT
$16.12 - acurapartstore
$12.64 - drivewire
$12.35 - clubplug.net
$6.15 - ebay auction

Damn! Should have bought on ebay.... or tried an auto-parts store.....

just get the plugs for a LS..I'm running the LS plug in my GSR..works great..a buck and a half each..

(do some research and you'll find out that it's not worth the extra $$ for the platinum)
