Default Good price for a 94 RS?

My friend is looking at a 94 RS with 77,000 miles on it. It is auto and has the basics. The car is stock and is in good condition except for a dent in the right rear bumper. The guy is asking $3,500 for it. Do you think it's a good deal? How much would a new bumper cost if it is not repairable?

Dunno. Actually seems kinda cheap! I'd go and take it to a trusted mechanic, though, because that does seem kinda low.

Bumper... umm...to replace, maybe like $250 painted? That sounds reasonable...

Though I wouldn't worry about it too much unless the indenetation is much over 6 inches in diameter. You could also probably just knock it out too...

Yeah I would totally have a mechanic look it over. I would also have my friend get the vin number checked on carfax.

Thats a pretty low price man, I bought my 95 RS for 6000 and it had 82K miles on it and it has a few tiny problems. Either that car is really messed up or you are lucky. That happened to me when i was buyin a car, this dealer was selling a 94 accord EX stick with 78k miles on it, fully loaded with leather and all that stuff, for 5100 and we got it down to like 4800. And then we asked the guy if we can take it and have our own mechanic take a look at it, they wouldnt let us, so we didnt get it cause it wasnt worth the risk.

Yeah I hear ya. I think this guy just really has no clue what he has and how much it's worth. He didn't even know the model it was but I knew once I saw it. My friend is gonna get her cousin who is a mechanic to check it out. If it's ok, she's gonna get it. If she does I'll take some pics and post them up. I'm glad it's auto cause then I can get out of teaching her how to drive stick
