synthetic oil advice
hey everyone, my 02 accord is due for an oil change and i was thinking about putting in mobil 1 synthetic oil. I have about 6700 miles on it now, but i been hearing that i shouldn't put in till the 10k mark so the engine could be broken in. is that true.
I never followed the manual. I changed my oil in my 2002 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L after the first 1,000 miles. I've always done this with every car I've had. Since then I have been running Mobile 1 Synthetic, and changing it ever 3k. Just be sure to use Honda Oil Filters.
Just my $0.02!
Just my $0.02!
Castrol full synthetic is what most of my mechanics recommend. Y did you wait so long to change the oil. I thought you were suppose to change it after like 1500 when you get the car brand new.

Maybe this will shed some light on the subject from an earlier thread
