Hey all. I just got my 03 accord coupe and was wondering what are the choices for an upgraded stereo. I heard of a soundsouge or whatever it is called where you can add an AUX input. My question is has anyone tried it and how does it sound?

My other questions is, the compartment below with the door......is it possible to put a Headunit, like an alpine there and retain the door. I really like the door and it would be awesome to put a HU in there and hide it behind the door. Oh, my car is V6 EX without the NAVI. Thanks

 

keep the stock HU... add a line out converter... and a few amps, some upgraded speakers 1 or 2 subs in the back and *boom* you'll have a nicely upgraded system.. and yet keep the nice looking stock look.

 

you can do like what was posted or get a second HU and run a different system all together.. the hard part is finding a HU that'll fit in that openning (well not that hard )

 

Do you know where I can get the in line converter? Correct me if I am wrong, but it converts the signals to RCAs right?

keeping the door with an aftermarket headunit would require a custom fabrication. I am pretty sure that it is doable though and many 7th gen accord owners would appreciate the first who did it. The door can be removed in place of a two din compartment, where an aftermarket hu can be placed.
