Default exhaust install preperation

Ok my car gets out of the body shop Tuesday :yay:. Im gonna put in my greddy evo and AEM CAI that day or wednesday. I have 1 pair of jackstands, and 2 of those ramp things. Should I just buy 2 more jackstands and lift the whole car up, or can I just lift the back of the car off the ground for my exhaust? anyone who's done this, let me know how you lifted the car.

P.S. dont give me that "use the search button" BS :madfawk: I tried, no one says how exactly they got the car up.

i dunno how safe this is but couldn't you roll the front up on the ramps and then jack up the back? Then the whole car would be up for the exhaust install.

i installed my exhaust with 2 jackstands and 2 jacks. i took the stock one off by myself, but needed my dad's help to put on the apex. both to hang it, then one holds it and the other tightens the bolts.

just make sure you WD40 the hell out of the bolts when you can. the stock bolts will be extremely rusted and tight.

it wasn't easy. you just have to struggle under the car. i didn't have much room under. only tip i can give is to use BOTH hands . there isn't much room, but two hands will be easier than just trying to struggle with one.

me and my boys didnt have any jack stands or even a hydro jack so i parallel parked the passenger side of my car ontop of the side of curb and the driver side was on the street. gave us enough clearance to get under and work. some advice, get some liquid wrench stuff, man it took us forever to get off the rusted bolts cuz we didnt have any of that stuff. have fun with the rubber hangers also...

i used wd40, but we're in cali, there isn't much snow or salt... and when i got the bolts off... they didn't look rusted. was your car from the east coast or something? i thought the rust problem affects mostly the east coast crew cuz of the snow and such.
