smoke gray, engine ring leaking?

smoke gray, engine ring leaking?
!i just bought a 86 accord. the guy told me the car smoke gray. it is the engine ring leaking. i need to replace the seal. does anyone know how much gonna cost to fix that? and is really the ring leaking or something else wrong? any comment? thanks
