215/35/18 Nangkang NS-II Anyone heard of those?
215/35/18 Nangkang NS-II Anyone heard of those? I saw a store that included those with there wheel and tire combos and they seem like there cheap tires.. Anyone ever seen them or had them. Also is 215/35/18 the size I would want for my 2000 accord ex coupe. I just don't want any rubbing. i am lowered with eibach pro kit
LOl....there was a crazy sale at wheelmax a couple of months ago. They were selling RH evo z5000 with 225/40/18 tires for 1099 dollars shipped. Those z5k rims are my personal favorite, so i wanted to get them, but i found out that they came with Nankang Ns2 tires. I didnt and couldnt make the purchase (i was broke also) and asked around and all i heard were some nasty remarks. All i heard was that they went bald ridiculously fast and made so much road noise, and had the most horrible wet traction ever. Well...i still regret not buying the wheels and tires for 1099, but i had no money anyways....
Yea I emailed them to let them know I have never heard of those tires and asked if they had any place I could find out more about them. I want 18" Konig Prophets in chrome with 215/35/18. They have them at speedandstyle for $1649. thats a good price.. If they let me upgrade tires I might get them cuz if I spend like 40$ for each tire thats still way cheaper then discount tire had these same rims for over 2100$ for there tire package. speedandstyle lists those tires at $99 a piece so it seems there cheap as hell.
I think that www.tirerack.com or www.tires.com sells Nankang tires. It's not a completely no-name brand, and there are worst. I've never heard of VISA tires (supposedly by Falken) before either, but they exist...
First of all, i dont recomment chrome or chrome plated wheels on hondas. Just stick with regular aluminum alloys. Visa tires were used on certain mustangs as high performance tires from the factory. My friend has them on his celica gt-s and he doesnt seem to be complaining.
I have a set of nangkang tires, but they aren't z rated. these are the cheapy 14in directional tires. They are supposedly "economy perferomance" tires. All i have to say is that these tires do not wear at all. My friend has had them for 2 years, i've had them for a year with bad camber and there is barely any wear on the tires. Point is, NangKangs are cheap tires. Don't expect too much from them.
I heard of Nankang, my homegirl bought a set of rims from Les Schwab and they came w/em. Not bad either.
Some other tires to look out for are Hankook Ventus HRII, I got those when I got my rims on my ef sedan and they were some sticky sons a bitches. I'd definitely recommend them.
