Default Bringing "Modified" Car to Dealership for service.

Hey guys, i was just wondering something. My car is covered under warranty until 100k, so i want to keep a "maintenance record" at the dealership. I'm due for a 75k service, which i was quoted for 190., which isnt terribly bad.

My question is, do i have to freagn bring my car back to stock every time i go to the dealership, or should i just say F it to them, and leave everything in? Or do they even care? Will it void mad warranties? i dunno

if you want warrenty work done (no money out of your pockets)...depending on the dealership, they might try to find an excuse to why your mods caused whatever work you want done.

bringing it in for service, i doubt you will get trouble. but they may not do all the work because some are hesitant to touch aftermarket parts.

To void a warranty, they would have to prove that your aftermarket parts caused the problem.

So just leave everything in, and let them do the service? I'm just afraid they're gonna keep record of the modfications, like if down the line something happens and i need to bring it in under warranty, they'll say some ish like "well when u brought it in for the 75k service, we took record of your modifications and cannot honor the warranty"

call the dealership you want to go to and tell them you have a blue Acura CL :exnbp: and then just say you modified your CL with some parts and was wondering about the warranty/service/records. if they say its ok, you can just bring in your car and they wont know its you that called :exnbp: :chuckles:

I haven't had any problems yet with the Aucra dealer in Albany, NY. They actually said it was nice and most important of all, the suspension mods were all done the proper way.

As long as you're not riding on cut springs (and assuming your engine is stock), you should be fine.
